Minister Of PKP Gaet Bappenas Designs MBR Housing Near The Train Line

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait said he was coordinating with the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) to be involved in the design of housing development for Low-Income Communities (MBR) near the railway line.

Maruarar said the construction of houses for MBR on the railway line was considered appropriate to make it easier for people to mobilize closely but still friendly in bags.

"We also spoke with the Minister of Bappenas, how to develop transportation routes, especially trains, so that houses can be built for the people. So that transportation becomes easy, fast, and cheap," said Maruarar in the Presidential Palace area, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 7.

According to him, coordination with Bappenas in housing development for MBR near the public transportation route is needed to integrate other commodity routes needed in a housing area, such as gas lines and electricity lines.

Maruarar ensured that later the housing construction would pay attention and maximize the undeveloped land so that the right use would occur.

"So that later this transportation issue can be executed with an efficient approach, later in line with how the electricity line, gas line, railway line, can all synergize as a team," he said.

To support this program to be realized, the Minister of PKP also stated that his party had proposed that the construction of MBR housing near this public transportation route could be included as part of the National Strategic Program (PSN).

He submitted the proposal through a limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday (7/1) afternoon with Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy, President Director of BTN Nixon LP Napitupulu, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

"We have proposed, earlier the PSN program meeting was also a program. This means that this is at 30 to 50 points. Especially for low-income people. So, specifically for the community. So that the permits are accelerated, so that equity occurs, so that there is the use of existing lands. So, pray, yes," said Marurar.
