DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office Examines Iwan Henry For Corruption At Disbud DKI

JAKARTA - Investigators from the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office examined the former Head of the DKI Jakarta Culture Service, Iwan Henry Wardhana (IHW) as a suspect in the 2023 budget corruption at the agency.

"On Monday, IHW and MFM fulfilled the summons of investigators from the DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office to undergo an examination," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Syahroni Hasibuan in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 6.

Syahroni said the investigation was related to a case of alleged corruption of Rp150 billion. "Regarding irregularities in various activities at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Culture Office, which is sourced from the APBD," he said.

The examination was attended by the IHW and Acting Head of Utilization at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Culture Office with the initials MFM.

"In the investigation process, investigators detained IHW at the Salemba Rutan at the South Jakarta District Attorney and MFM at the Salemba Rutan, the Attorney General's Office for the next 20 days," he said.

The suspects in the corruption case at the DKI Jakarta Culture Office made a special room for the activity planning team (event organizer) to monopolize the budget with fake stamps in the corruption case.

Then, the suspects borrowed the names of a number of companies in carrying out corruption in fictitious activities using fake stamps to complete the SPJ.

The name of the company borrowed will be rewarded at 2.5 percent of the funds obtained.

The DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office also revealed that the photo wearing a dance dress on stage became a mode of corruption at the DKI Jakarta Culture Service (Disbud).

The Jakarta Provincial Prosecutor's Office has also found a fake stamp which is suspected to be for a budget deviation of Rp150 billion at the DKI Disbud, which is located at Jalan Gatot Subroto, Kuningan Timur, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
