BMKG: Banten Sea Wave Height Reaches Four Meters

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning that the wave height of Banten sea waters reached four meters throughout Wednesday.

The BMKG of the Class 1 Serang Maritime Meteorological Station in a report quoted in Lebak, Wednesday, predicts the potential for high Banten sea waves throughout today to range from 2.5 4.0 meters in the West Sunda Strait of Pandeglang, the southern waters of Pandeglang, and the southern waters of Lebak.

Blow the wind from the southwest to the northwest with an average speed of 05 35 km/hour.

In addition, be aware of the potential for moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning, lightning and strong winds in the areas of Cilegon City, Lebak Regency, and Pandeglang Regency.

Meanwhile, Head of the Lebak Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Febby Rizky Pratama said the sea water wave height between 2.5 meters to 4.0 meters must be watched out for so as not to cause sea accidents.

Likewise, small boat fishermen should not go to sea first following a wave height of 4.0 meters.

"I think the wave height of 4.0 meters accompanied by strong winds from the west has the potential to cause sea accidents," he said.
