Menpora Zainudin Amali Accompanying President Jokowi Receives IMI Central Executive Audit

President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received in audience the Mandalika Racing Team Indonesia (MRTI) and the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) at the Merdeka / Special Palace

JAKARTA - The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received an audience for the Mandalika Racing Team Indonesia (MRTI) and the Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) at the Merdeka Palace, Wednesday, April 14.

President Jokowi was accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora RI), Zainudin Amali and the State Secretary Minister (Mensesneg), Pratikno.

Present at this meeting were IMI Chairman Bambang Soesatyo, IMI Secretary General Ahmad Syahroni, and IMI Deputy Chairman Rifat Sungkar.

After the meeting, Deputy Chairman of IMI, Rifat Sungkar, revealed that the main agenda of this meeting was the introduction of the new IMI board members. However, this meeting also discussed a number of matters, including efforts to legalize vehicle modifications, accelerate the transition of electric fuel, promote tourism, the environment and promote CSR involving the community.

"This is an introductory agenda that is very good for us, because the entire ranks joined and the President himself welcomed positively," he said.

According to him, IMI has 1400 racing events in one year, with many of these racing events organizing, President Jokowi hopes to be able to boost the economy in the regions.

"This is not a problem for the riders but also driving the Indonesian economy at each racing location," said Rifat.

Rifat also conveyed to Jokowi that his party participated in promoting road safety or safety in driving. This action involved Korlantas Polri and also the Ministry of Transportation.

"The President immediately answered the explanation from our chairman. He was very happy because with this auspices it seems that we also have a lot of directions for directing athletes for the implementation of events whose status is from the club to the direction of events with international status," said Rifat.

Meanwhile, Menpora Amali who was also present at the palace reported on the progress of the 2021 Menpora Cup competition. "Earlier, I actually went to the palace to accompany the President to receive the management of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association, Pak Bambang Soesatyo.
