Hit-and-run Case For The Arrogant Fortuner Driver To Be Closed, But Airgun Ownership Is Still Being Processed

JAKARTA - The hit-and-run case of an arrogant Fortuner driver, Muhammad Farid Andika (MFA), has been terminated. The reason is that the victim decided to withdraw the report.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that the termination of the handling of this case was based on the results of the case title. This is because the koban and the perpetrators decided to make peace.

"From the results of the case title, it has been determined that the case file will be resolved by restorative justice or finished with mediation because the perpetrator has apologized and the victim has apologized," said Yusri to reporters, Thursday, April 15.

However, Yusri emphasized that the case that was stopped was only related to the hit-and-run. Meanwhile, the case of airgun ownership is still being investigated.

"We are still in the process of one case regarding possession of weapons, which we know is illegal," he said.

In this case, investigators named two suspects, namely Muhammad Farid Andika as the owner of the weapon and AM alias S as the seller.

"There are now two suspects, including a gun holder and also a weapons dealer," he said.

The gun shooting took place at around 01.00 WIB Friday, April 2 in the morning. The man with the initials MFA driving a Toyota Fortuner car hit a motorcyclist at a red light intersection at Jalan Colonel Sugiono, Duren Sawit.

"At that time, he was driving a Fortuner B 1673 vehicle, crossing a road intersection with a red traffic light. Then he bumped into a motorcycle that was carrying a woman," said Yusri.

Instead of apologizing, MFA opened the windshield and got angry. A number of witnesses, namely online motorcycle taxi drivers, tried to defend the female motorcyclist trying to stop the MFA vehicle.

What was surprising was that the MFA suddenly pointed a gun at a number of witnesses. This gun point was recorded on the cellphone of one of the witnesses whose video went viral on social media.

"I'll just walk. I'll just walk," said the Fortuner driver, brandishing a gun.

A number of witnesses who helped the female driver get involved in an argument, when they saw the gun pointed, immediately asked the Fortuner driver to leave. They didn't forget to record the Fortuner police number.

"Crazy, crazy. Unplug, unplug. This is what I wrote down, the license plate. Bring a gun. Viralin, viralin!" exclaimed a video recorder.
