In The Indictment, Edhy Prabowo Gave IDR70 million To Rent A Luxury Apartment For Anggia Tesalonik

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo is accused of receiving money up to tens of billions of rupiah from exporters of fry or lobster seeds, including the owner of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama Suharjito.

The money he received was then used for several things, including renting out apartments and buying cars for his private secretary.

"That after the defendant received some money from the exporters of lobster seeds through Amiril Mukminin, Safri, Ainul Faqih, Andreau Misanta Pribadi, and Siswadhi Pranoto Loe then the defendant used the money", said prosecutor KPK in a trial held at Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, April 15.

In the indictment mentioned in July 2020, through his men, Amiril Mukminin, Edhy paid the apartment rent of IDR70 million. This Apartment Unit in Signature Park Grande Cawang Tower Delight is then occupied by Anggia Tesalonika Kloer who is his private secretary.

Not only Anggia, but Edhy also pays the rent of an apartment in Menteng Park Cikini Raya Tower Saphire. At that time, through Amiril, he paid IDR80 million which was then occupied by Putri Elok Sekar Sari.

The former Gerindra Party politician also paid a down payment on the purchase of a unit of black HRV Car. This purchase was made in October 2020.

Edhy paid IDR352,086,000 as a down payment from a car that cost IDR414 million. This purchase was made through Amiril Mukminin and the car was named after one of its staff, Ainul Faqih before it was finally used by Anggia Tesalonika Kloer.

As reported earlier, Through his staff, Amiril Mukminin and Safri, Edhy said to have received bribes of up to $77 thousand. This money comes from the owner of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama Suharjito.

He also received IDR24,625,587,250 from Suharjito and other exporters whose receipts were made by his staff.

"It should be suspected that the gift or promise was given to move to do or not do something in his office", said the KPK Prosecutor in a hearing held at Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, April 15.

The granting of this money was done so that Edhy through his men, Andreau Misanta Pribadi and Safri accelerated the approval process of lobster cultivation permits and lobster seed export permits of Suharjito company and other exporters.

By accepting the bribe, Edhy was charged with violating Article 11 of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes jo Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code jo Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
