JAKARTA - A child was killed by a knife-carrying attacker. The perpetrator attacked teachers and students at Zagreb Elementary School, Croatia.

Health Minister Irena Hristic said eight students and a teacher were injured. The attacker has been detained by the police.

The Nova TV site quoted Hristic as saying one of the injured students had died.

"This is terrible," Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic told reporters.
