Legitimate! UMK City IDR 5.1 Million And Bogor Regency IDR 4.8 Million

BOGOR Acting Governor of West Java (Pj Governor of West Java), Bey Machmudin, officially set the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2025 through Governor Decree Number 561.7/Kep.798-Kesra/2024. This decision ratifies the increase in the City and Bogor Regency UMK by 6.5 percent.

With this increase, the Bogor City UMK increased to IDR 5,126,897.22 from the previous IDR 4,813,988. Meanwhile, the Bogor Regency UMK rose to IDR 4,877,211.17 from IDR 4,579,541.

The head of the West Java Manpower and Transmigration Office, Teppy Dharmawan, explained that this decision was made based on the recommendations of the district/city Wage Council, which involves local governments, employers and labor unions.

Today has been issued Kepgub No. 561.7/Kep.798-Kesra/2024 concerning UMK in West Java in 2025. The governor set the UMK based on a proposal from the Regency and City Wage Council," said Teppy, Wednesday, December 18.

Bogor City UMK is now listed as the fifth highest in West Java, after Bandung City, Karawang Regency, Bekasi Regency, and Bekasi City.

Head of the Bogor City Manpower Office, Sujatmiko Baliarto, confirmed that the increase in the UMK will take effect from January 1, 2025. UMK Bogor City has increased from IDR 4.8 million to IDR 5.1 million. This increase will take effect early next year," said Sujatmiko.

The same thing was conveyed by the Head of the Bogor Regency Manpower Office, Juanda Dimansyah, who emphasized that the increase in the Bogor Regency UMK by 6.5 percent had gone through dialogue with various parties, including employers and labor unions.

This decision is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024, which regulates the maximum increase in the UMK of 6.5 percent. In the Governor's Decree, the Acting Governor of West Java emphasized that employers are obliged to pay workers according to the UMK that has been set and are not allowed to provide lower wages.

"All UMK proposals have gone through a dialogue between the government, Apindo, and labor unions, in accordance with the provisions of the Minister of Manpower 16 of 2024," concluded Teppy.
