East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly denied that his party was waiting for a case of abuse that befell a bakery employee in Cakung, East Jakarta, to go viral. Nicolas said the handling of the case had been going on since the victim, Dwi Ayu Darmawati (DAD) reported.

It is known that the case of abuse by the son of the bakery boss occurred in October 2024. However, the perpetrator with the initials GSH was only arrested on December 16 yesterday.

Nicolas said the report came in on October 18, 2024, and had been processed starting from the post-mortem to DAD as a victim.

October 18 after we received a police report, the East Jakarta Metro Police investigators then took the victim to the Police Hospital for a post-mortem. Furthermore, on October 30, 2024, investigators sent the first SP2HP and at the same time sent a clarification invitation to sister Dwi Ayu," said Nicolas explaining at Commission III of the DPR, Tuesday, December 17.

Nicolas emphasized that on November 1, 2024, his party had also examined the clarification of DAD. Then called the perpetrator's mother, Linda Pancawati and another witness named Chika.

"And on November 5 we sent the second SP2HP and a clarification invitation to Linda Pancawati. We explained here that we sent an invitation letter to Mrs. Linda because according to the clarification report from the reporting party, she said there were two witnesses who saw at the time, namely Mrs. Linda and her colleague named Chika. Next because we didn't know Chika's address and she just gave her phone number and we have contacted Chika," he explained.

Two weeks later, said Nicolas, on November 21, 2024, his party conducted a clarification examination. He explained that the long time gap was due because witnesses were willing to be questioned on November 21.

"We explain here that there is indeed a period of time from the 5 - 21st because there is a witness we asked for where the witness asked for his examination to be postponed to the 21st," he explained.

Then, the East Jakarta Metro Police sent the third SP2HP and an invitation to clarify the perpetrator, Goerge Sugama Halim (GSH) on November 29, 2024.

"At that time we had communicated with one of the witnesses, namely Dwi Ayu's colleague named Chika but always procrastinated time and until now the person concerned said he would not want to be a witness in this case," he said.

After that, continued Nicolas, the police only summoned GSH to be examined and conduct a case title on December 13, 2024.

"To improve to the investigation stage, the stage of this case is to determine whether or not there is a crime being reported. We also explained that what was reported to us at that time was an ordinary general crime, no cases were caught red-handed or viral cases," said Nicolas.

Nicolas also denied the data that was disclosed as on social media. According to him, these data did not go to the police.

"And during the first clarification examination, Dwi Ayu did not submit any data to investigators as circulated on social media," he concluded.
