Allegedly Exchanged Baby At RSIJ Cempaka Putih, Police Say There Was A Woman Who Gave Birth On The Same Day

JAKARTA Rauf and Feni, a married couple (couple) in Cilincing, North Jakarta who admitted that their baby was swapped during childbirth at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (RSIJ), Central Jakarta. Although this case was not reported to the police, the investigation was carried out by examining a number of CCTV, and nurses at the hospital, as a process of proof.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro revealed that the investigation process was carried out and needed time as a legal process.

According to Condro, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro was briefly dipangil, on the day the baby was born at the Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (RSI), there were four female patients who gave birth.

"We also provide information that on the same day there were four who were born there," Condro told reporters at TPU Semper, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17.

Therefore, to determine whether the baby who died was swapped or not, his party will conduct a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) examination of the baby.

As one of the proof steps, the police and a number of related teams conducted an exhumation at the baby's grave, TPU Semper, North Jakarta, Tuesday morning, December 17. The exhumation was carried out to take a DNA sample which will later be matched with the DNA of the parents.

"Is it true according to the results of the DNA test or maybe the second one, maybe different. Well, of course, this initial stage will be the main scientific key to saying that it is indeed the child of his parents," he said.

Regarding the results of the baby's DNA, said Susatyo, it most likely took two weeks. However, he could not confirm the accuracy of the time, because he was waiting for the results from the hospital.

"Well, of course, the results of the DNA test will be determined later by forensic installations or from the police hospital. If the information is about 2 weeks, we will see the progress," he said.
