The Bogor Resort Police have punished members of the Traffic Unit who are known to provide escort to lovers in breaking through traffic jams on the Puncak tourist route, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"We processed the inspection at Propam and then we were relieved of our duties as motorbike guards," said Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit AKP Rizky Guntama Double Permana as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 16.

He explained that escort should only be given to the community when conditions are urgent.

"Indeed, it is called service escort for the community if there is an urgency that is needed to escort the police to be allowed to guard them," he explained.

Rizky also summoned a couple who received escort services by officers for clarification.

The incident of providing escort services to lovers breaking through the congestion of the Puncak tourist route became a topic of conversation among netizens after the tourist uploaded a video when escorted by officers using a motorbike.

In the video clarifying which was uploaded to the Instagram account @awreceh.id, the unknown tourist confirmed that he received escort services when he returned from the Bogor Safari Park.

"In the afternoon the boy called his car to be used to accompany his sick brother, in the afternoon I finally pulled out of Safari Park at three in the afternoon. There was Patwal again trying to get down, my guy opened the glass saying he wanted to come, so all of them went down," said the woman in the clarification video.
