Today Yasonna Laoly Is Canceled By The KPK, Requests Rescheduling

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) canceled the examination of the former Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), Yasonna H. Laoly, which is scheduled to take place today, Friday, December 13. Yasonna requested that the examination be rescheduled because it has other agendas that cannot be abandoned.

"For YSL (Yasonna Laoly), information from investigators asks to be rescheduled because there is an agenda that cannot be abandoned," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika in her statement, Friday, December 13.

Tessa has not revealed when the recall will be carried out or the examination material that will be investigated. However, the information circulating stated that Yasonna's investigation was related to the alleged bribery in the interim replacement process (PAW) of DPR RI members involving former PDIP candidate Harun Masiku.

As a reminder, Yasonna once stated that Harun Masiku had not returned to Indonesia from Singapore, although CCTV footage at Soekarno-Hatta Airport showed Harun had returned to the country on January 7, 2020, the day before the KPK carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT). Initial information from the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights was then corrected after the confusion emerged to the public.

Until now, Harun Masiku is still at large. The KPK updated the wanted list (DPO) on behalf of Harun on December 5, 2024, as signed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron.

Based on the DPO file, Harun Masiku is known to have his address at Limo Street, Aneka Tambang IV/8 Complex, RT 8 RW 2, North Grogol, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. The former legislative candidate has a physical feature of 172 cm height, black hair, mature sawo skin, as well as special characteristics such as glasses, thinness, loud speech, and talking with a Toraja or Bugis accent.

The KPK appealed to anyone familiar with Harun's whereabouts to report to the authorities. "To be arrested and handed over to the Office of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia Jalan Kuningan Persada Kav.4 Setiabudi South Jakarta," read the statement in the DPO file.
