Antigen Test Results, 3-Month-Old Baby From Bangka District Confirmed Positive COVID-19

BANGKA - A 3-month-old baby initials M was confirmed positive for COVID-19 based on antigen test results. Baby M comes from Sungailiat Subdistrict, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

Bangka Boy Yandra District COVID-19 Task Force Spokesman said M is known to be positive based on the results of antigen tests because the baby is in close contact with one of the COVID-19 positive patients.

"M is one of the dozens of residents from Bangka Regency who are scattered in several sub-districts where today is known to be positive for COVID-19", said Boy Yandra reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 14.

Patients who have been declared positive for COVID-19 have received isolation and quarantine services for health recovery in facilities provided by the government.

"In addition to the dozens of people who were declared positive for COVID-19 patients, 20 patients were declared cured after receiving maximum health services by the medical team", he said.

Based on covid-19 information data from Bangka District Health Office, the total number of COVID-19 patients recorded until Tuesday, April 13, reached 2,483 people. 2,352 people have been declared cured and 35 COVID-19 positive patients have died.

To suppress the spread of the virus, Boy Yandra urged the entire community to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols as well as for citizens who are declared positive for COVID-19, either based on the results of antigen tests or swab tests, should be willing to be isolated or quarantined.
