JAKARTA - The school building at SDN 09 Kelurahan Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, was observed to be overcrowded because it was inhabited by more than 600 families (KK), victims of the fire, Wednesday, December 11, noon.

From VOI's observation at the evacuation site at SDN 09, residents affected by the fire took refuge in several school classrooms and refugee tents.

There are several fans in the refugee camp because the situation is quite hot because of the large number of residents who have fled in the tent.

While refugees in the classroom, it looks more free but lack of sleeping mats. Residents only sleep on tarpaulins and a few mattresses.

In addition, fire victims also seemed enthusiastic about fighting over used clothes available at the evacuation site at SDN 09 Kebon Blank.

Residents prefer clothes because they almost on average did not have time to bring their clothes when the flames destroyed their homes.

"I didn't bring anything, only these letters and clothes were used. All my valuables were burned down," said Wartini (37), a resident of RT 08/05 Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran to VOI at the evacuation site.

Wartini claimed to have one child who was still in grade 4 elementary school. In fact, children's school equipment and school uniforms also burned down in his house.

"The 4th grade elementary school children. All the uniforms and school books were gone. Just brought a certificate and KIA. My ID card caught fire. The one that caught fire was his own house, not a contract," he said.

Currently, Wartini is forced to evacuate in the SDN 09 school building because she no longer has a place to live. He has no relatives outside the Kemayoran area.

"All of you are here, the house was also burned yesterday," he said.

Previously, it was reported that as many as 600 families consisting of 1,800 victims affected by the fire in Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, were forced to evacuate at the SDN 09 Kebon Blank school building on Tuesday, December 10, evening.

The fire scorched as many as 200 houses at the scene. There were no valuables left after the fire that hit people's houses.

According to information compiled by VOI, as many as 125 toddlers affected by the fire were forced to evacuate. Furthermore, there were 256 elderly men and 269 elderly women affected by the fire who also took refuge in the school building.
