Madiun Government Prepares Quarantine Location For Reckless Homecoming, There Are Haunted Former Dutch Heritage

MADIUN - The Government of Madiun, East Java prepared three quarantine locations for its citizens who are desperate to go home even though the government issued a ban on homecoming in Lebaran.

"If anyone is desperate to go home to Madiun, we have prepared a quarantine location. There are three places," said Mayor of Madiun Maidi in Madiun quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

There are also three quarantine locations that have been prepared, namely Wisma Haji Kota Madiun, Wilis Stadium area, and former Military Detention House (RTM).

Among the three locations, RTM is considered the most haunted and uncomfortable. Because, it is a dutch heritage building that has not been used for a long time.

Maidi explained that RTM will be a quarantine location for the most errant travelers. Namely, people who recklessly homecoming has not been vaccinated and does not bring the results of "swab test" or rapid test negative.

"And when we tested, it turned out that the results were positive for COVID-19. Then it will go directly to RTM," he said.

The same will also apply to ASN Madiun government who are desperate to go home. The former Secretary of Madiun will impose sanctions. He asked the Asn Of Madiun Municipality to remain in Madiun.

"Enjoy what is in Madiun. No need to go anywhere or there are strict sanctions that will be given," he said.

Previously, the government through the Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhadjir Effendy had issued a letter to the Ministers and Heads of Institutions on March 31, 2021, containing the decision to eliminate eid al-Fitr homecoming activities in 2021.

The 2021 homecoming ban applies to state civil servants, TNI-Polri, state-owned enterprises employees, private employees, self-employed workers, and the entire community that took effect on May 6-17, 2021.

The homecoming ban is to cut the chain of transmission of COVID-19 which until now is not known when it ends.

According to the data, in Madiun COVID-19 cases until Tuesday, April 13, reached 2,076 people. Of these, 1,860 have recovered, 36 are still in care, 46 are in self-isolation, and 134 have died.

On Tuesday, April 13, there were 10 confirmed cases, 14 people were recovered, and none died.
