Reflecting On Semarang, President Prabowo Is Scheduled To Inaugurate Madukoro Flyover

This was conveyed by the Director General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works, Rachman Arief, while at the location of Jalan Layang Madukoro, ahead of the inauguration ceremony.

"Today's activities will be carried out by the inauguration of the Madukoro Flyover by President Prabowo Subianto," he said.

President Prabowo is scheduled to arrive at the inauguration location at around 10:00 WIB, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, and his staff, and a number of other relevant officials.

The flyover, which is located in West Semarang District, began construction in April 2023 and is planned to be completed in May 2024. This project absorbs a budget of IDR 198.9 billion.

This flyover infrastructure has a length of 221 meters, with a total length of flyovers and connecting roads reaching 1,597 meters and a width of 19 meters.

Manfaat utama dari proyek ini adalah untuk mengurangi kemacetan dan antrean lalu lintas, terutama di Simpang Arteri (Madukoro), yang merupakan jalur vital Pantura Jawa, termasuk menuju Bandara Ahmad Yani dan Pelabuhan Tanjung Mas. Selain itu, Jalan Layang Madukoro juga mendukung akses ke kawasan wisata strategis nasional seperti Borobudur, Yogyakarta, dan Prambanan, yang diharapkan dapat mengurangi potensi kecelakaan.

Jalan tersebut dibangun dengan desain terpisah untuk arah berlawanan, sehingga arus lalu lintas lebih terkontrol dan aman.

The Ministry of Public Works also estimates the efficiency of vehicle operational costs that can be achieved, from Rp193,800 per hour to Rp74,200 per hour, with total efficiency reaching Rp119,600 per hour.
