Cianjur Regency Government Targets Amblas Road Handling At 8 Rampung Points 1 Day

The Cianjur Regency Government (Pemkab) targets the repair of the connecting road between villages that has collapsed at eight points, especially on the Kadupandak-Cijati route to completion in one day.

Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said his party asked the Cianjur Spatial Planning Public Works Department to take quick treatment.

"We have asked for quick handling because the collapsed road is the main route for residents' activities, especially the economy and the main route for distributing logistics for residents displaced due to land movement," he said in Cianjur, Tuesday, December 10, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained, for road runways that have collapsed lightly or moderately, repairs can be made by patching and hardening so that vehicles can be passed, especially in the distribution of aid for disaster victims.

As for the main road that has collapsed heavily, the construction of a temporary lane can be carried out at least two-wheeled vehicles can be passed while waiting for the repair to be completed, so that activities, especially the economy, continue to run.

"For the light and moderate ones, at least one or two days has been completed and vehicles can be passed, for the heavy, try to be tried in the near future and residents are asked to be patient," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the collapse of the main road at nine points along the provincial road that stretches in the southern region of Cianjur, now it can be passed normally both directions, but restrictions are imposed on which heavy vehicles are prohibited from crossing.

The fast handling process is still being carried out by the West Java Propinsi Binamarga Office, including creating a new route at collapsed road points such as in Pagelaran, Tanggeung and Cibinong sub-districts, so passersby drivers are asked to increase vigilance and preparedness.

"We ask residents to avoid crossing the southern route of Cianjur when it rains heavily with high intensity because it can trigger landslides and roads to collapse again because the handling process is not yet optimal," he said.
