Debt Collector Mode Thief In Pulogadung Arrested Again, Victim Was Dragged 2 Meters

The joint team of the East Jakarta Metro Police and the Pulogadung Police have arrested a gang of robbers with debt collector mode who acted on Jalan Pondasi, RT 06/02, precisely on the side of Jalan Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said one perpetrator with the initials PM (23) was arrested by the police. Meanwhile, three other people with the initials DK, MM and TTB are still at large.

The arrest of the perpetrators of the debt collector mode was carried out by a joint team because of the many reports of confiscation incidents in the Pulogadung area, East Jakarta.

The incident by the perpetrator with the debt collector mode began when the victim with the initials MFF was riding a motorbike from Bekasi to Pulogadung.

However, while on the way, the victim stopped at Jalan Pondasi, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung. Suddenly 4 perpetrators arrived riding two motorbikes.

Then one of the perpetrators asked the victim as if they (the perpetrators) were leasing workers. The perpetrator accused the victim that the motorcycle insurance had not been paid.

The victim denied it. In fact, the victim bought the motorbike in cash. However, because it was threatened and intervened, the perpetrator took the victim as if to the leasing office where the suspects worked.

"The victim was picked up by the suspect with the initials PM to go to the suspect's office and not far from the scene. Then the suspect ordered the victim to buy a stamp at a shop on Jalan Pondasi, Kayu Putih," Kombes Nicolas told reporters, Monday, December 9.

Then when the victim got off to buy a stamp, the victim asked the PM suspect for the key to his motorbike. However, the PM suspect tried to take the victim's motorbike away.

"At that time the victim was holding the iron on the back seat, then the victim was dragged up to two meters," he said.

The victim then shouted at the perpetrator. At the time of the incident, the joint team was conducting regional observations until they finally managed to find the incident. The joint team also managed to arrest the PM suspect along with evidence of the victim's motorbike.

"As a result of the incident, the victim was injured in the hands of his elbow and knee left leg. The suspect is still under development to hunt down other perpetrators who are still at large," he said.

As a result of his actions, the suspect with the initials PM was charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence.
