Gus Miftah made this remarks from the stage. During this moment, Gus Miftah was accompanied by a number of caretakers of the Islamic boarding school where he gave a lecture.

Gus Miftah's profile is a preacher and founder of the Ora Aji Islamic Boarding School located in Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Born in Lampung on August 5, 1981, Gus Miftah has the real name Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman. He is the son of M. Murodi bin M. Boniran bin Kyai Usman, as well as a descendant of Kyai Ageng Hasan Besari, the founder of the Tegalsari Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo.

Miftah grew up in Yogyakarta in an Islamic boarding school environment. He attended MTS and MAN at the Bustanul U'lum Islamic Boarding School. Next, he advanced his studies at the Tarbiyah Faklutas, Sunan State Islamic University, Kalijaga in 1999, but did not finish.

Gus Miftah only received a bachelor's degree in 2023 from the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Sultan Agung University, Semarang.

During his time as a student, he was active in the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) which was affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama.

Gus Miftah is known as a unique preacher, he likes to give advice to marginalized people, including thugs and gamblers. In fact, it is not uncommon for him to give spiritual shower at nightclubs.

He has been carrying out da'wah activities at nightclubs for a dozen years, aiming to provide opportunities for those who are hit by the demands of life to come back closer to Islam.

Gus Miftah's name became more and more widely discussed by the public after he became the guide for Deddy Corbuzier to Islam in mid-2019. He got to know Deddy in a talk show on a private television station.

Gus Miftah's da'wah concept was inspired by one of the well-known clerics from Kediri, namely KH Hamim Tohari Djajuli or who is familiarly called Gus Miek. This is what makes him get the spotlight invited to various talk shows on television.
