DENPASAR - A woman from Jakarta named Agnes Tio Candra (27) was the victim of abuse by her own ex-boyfriend with the initials APD (32).

Agnes showed wounds and bruises on her body from her hands to her feet because she was abused by her ex-boyfriend.

"Our client still has a headache," said Agnes' lawyer, Alex Barung, Friday, December 6 evening.

Initially, Agnes and APD and APD's two friends left Jakarta and stayed at a villa on Puri Mumbul Permai street, Jimbaran Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Thursday (5/12).

At the villa, they consumed alcohol. This is where the argument occurred because APD's friend 'peeked' at Agnes who was in the bedroom.

"After that, she was pulled into the bathroom and hit. First she was slapped, then pushed by my client to defend herself, when she came out of the bathroom, her hair was pulled into the bathroom, then she was hit and her head was slammed against the wall. Beaten with hands (and) feet and her body was pulled and slammed against the wall too," added Alex.

After the abuse and being locked in the toilet, Agnes contacted her family. The next morning, a number of police officers came to the location.

"After my client woke up in the toilet suddenly there were many people outside the villa, the police and her friends who helped because my client called to ask for help," he said.

Meanwhile, Agnes admitted that APD invited her to Bali to be offered a job. But instead they went on vacation.

"First they invited our client because there was work in Bali but when they arrived here they said it was a holiday. (The relationship) status is ex-boyfriend, according to our client's statement they used to date for more than a year and had broken up," he said.

This abuse case has been reported to the Denpasar Police. APD, Agnes' lawyer said, has been questioned at the North Denpasar Police.

"It has been reported to the Denpasar Police this morning. "The report is of abuse and the demand is to be processed according to applicable law," he said.

"For the reason (the reported person committed the abuse) for the time being we have not found the reason. Maybe he was under the influence of alcohol," he said.
