Who's Megawati's Replacement? PDIP: Puan And Prananda Synergize Upstream-Downstream

JAKARTA - The issue of the replacement of the chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri is getting stronger. His two children were held to take the position of leader of the white-snout bull party.

In response, PDIP DPP Chairman Hendrawan Supratikno confirmed that a replacement general chairman candidate will be appointed by the incumbent ketum, in this case Megawati.

"AD / ART PDIP is clear, the new ketum is decided by the incumbent ketum. So there is no need for strongholds, support support, or exclamation. Megawati's mother will decide," said Hendrawan, Tuesday, April 13.

Hendrawan admitted, so far there are two ketum children involved in party activities, namely Puan Maharani and Prananda Prabowo. However, Hendarawan said, both Puan and Prananda complement each other and synergize. There has been no rivalry between the two

"Mrs. Puan is more engaged downstream, namely the executive and interagency relations. While Mas Nanan is more upstream, related to party consolidation, the placement of cadres in the body / organization wing. So what is built is upstream-downstream synergy," explained Hendrawan.

Meanwhile, ketum, added Hendrawan, is tasked with strengthening synergy in the internal party. "Ketum built the architecture of authority, this is to strengthen internal integration," he said.

Previously, Chairman of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of PDIP Solo FX Hadi Rudyatmo considered Prananda Prabowo more suitable to replace Megawati Soekarnoputri in the chair of the Chairman of pdip than Puan Maharani.

According to Rudy, it is natural if the public judge PDIP impressed to encourage the figure of Puan as a replacement for Megawati. "But that's just an impression. In the party they are both Chairman of the DPP," he said Monday, April 13.

Although less popular than Puan and never held public office, Prananda considered him more suitable to lead the party. The reason is, Prananda will focus more on the party and could contribute more internally.

"If in PDIP, public office is not something that is important. So far he has had a career in the party and not so many things he did except just fight for the PDIP," he said.

Moreover, Rudy also assessed Prananda has the ability to improve the economy of cadres. This is in line with his position as Chairman of the DPP in the field of MSMEs, Creative Economy, and Digital Economy.

Not only that, Rudy also believes Prananda is able to unite pdip under his leadership.

"At least if Mas Nanan (Prananda's friendly greeting) can hold the leadership in PDIP, it should also be able to unite Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke. This is my prediction going forward," he said.
