Palu KPU Officially Sets Recapitulation Of 2024 Pilkada Vote Counting

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province, has determined the recapitulation of vote count results in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) for Governors and Deputy Governors as well as Mayors and Deputy Mayors in the area.

The chairman of the Palu KPU, Idrus, in Palu, said Friday that the determination was contained in the Palu City KPU's decision Number 838 of 2024 concerning the determination of the results of the election for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Palu in 2024.

Based on the recapitulation of the vote count results at the open plenary meeting, candidate pair number 1 on behalf of Hidayat - Andi Nur B. Lamakarate received 43,391 valid votes.

"Then, candidate pair number 2 in the name of Hadianto Rasyid - Imelda Liliana Muhidin with a valid vote of 107,166," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Furthermore, candidate pair number 3 MuhammadJ. Wartabone - Rizal with the acquisition of valid votes was 18,588 votes.

He said the number of valid votes for the Palu City Pilkada 2024 was 169,145 votes, 2,301 votes were invalid, and 171,446 valid votes were combined with invalid votes.

As for the results of the recapitulation of the vote count for the election of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Sulawesi Province, candidate pair number 1 Ahmad H. Ali - Abdul Karim Al Jufri won 53,485 votes.

Candidate pair number 2 Anwar - Reny A. Lamadjido won 72,048 votes, and candidate pair number 3 Rusdy Mastura - Sulaiman won 44,288 votes.

"For the number of valid votes as many as 169,822 votes, 2,276 invalid votes, and 172,097 valid votes combined with invalid votes," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude to all parties for the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada election voting and vote count which went quite well.

According to him, Palu City is also one of the fastest regions in Central Sulawesi Province to complete input on the 100 percent Pilkada Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) for 507 polling stations in the regions, on November 28, at around 00.00 WITA.

He said the Palu City KPU was committed to ensuring the implementation of elections that were honest, fair, and transparent and maintained public trust in the democratic process in Central Sulawesi.
