The General Election Commission of West Bandung Regency, West Java, announced the pair of candidates for regent and deputy regent number 2appropriation Ismail (Jeje Govinda) - Asep Ismail won the most votes in the 2024 Pilkada in West Bandung Regency.

Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of West Bandung Regency, Ripqi Ahmad Sulaeman, said the results were obtained after completing the recapitulation of votes in an open plenary meeting held at Legok Resort Village, Lembang District.

"If we sequence, the most recapitulation votes this time are candidate pair number 2 with a result of 341,225 votes. Today's recapitulation results we will announce officially," said Ripqi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 6.

Based on the recapitulation results, the candidate pair for regent and deputy regent of West Bandung number 1 Didik Agus Triwiyono-Gilang Dirga won 165,672 votes, pair number 2 Jeje Govinda-Asep Ismail as many as 341,225 votes.

Candidate pair number 3 Hengky Kurniawan-Ade Sudrajat as many as 224,066 votes, candidate pair number 4 Edi Rusyandi-Unjang Asari as many as 137,567 votes, and candidate pair number 5 Sundaya-Asep Ilyas as many as 43,843 votes.

Ripqi revealed that after this plenary meeting, his party gave the candidate pairs three days if they wanted to object to the election results to the Constitutional Court (MK).

If that stage is completed, the KPU will determine one of the five contestants who won as elected regents and deputy regents.

"After the process and it is confirmed that there will be no problems then we will determine from these five pairs of candidates to regents and deputy regents," he said.

Although there were three witnesses, the regent and deputy regent did not sign the results of the recapitulation of votes, continued Ripqi, this did not mean canceling the results of the plenary session.

"Finally, there are several witnesses who do not want to sign, of course we respect that it is the right of the witness. But still we continue the plenary session and do not cancel the results of the plenary session. Of course we recorded this incident into a special incident," he said.
