Police Chief: Police Involved Drugs If It Can Not Be Built Yes It's Destroyed Only

JAKARTA - Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo will destroy police members involved in drug cases. By the record, they can't improve and be built.

"Against those who commit crimes, especially drugs, if it is irreparable, if it can not be built, yes it has been destroyed, which is so-so immediately resolved," sigit said in a technical working meeting (rakernis) at the Police Headquarters, Tuesday, April 13.

The reason Listyo Sigit took the decision was because members of the National Police had to enforce the rules. Instead of getting involved in violations.

"Because I think we as law enforcement are in charge of making arrests, eradicating things like that. But there the colleagues are also in it, which is how to solve it quickly," said Sigit.

Sigit said he would remove the police officers who used drugs. Because, the actions of them will damage the image of the Police.

"Not only because one or two people who committed violations, then 100 members who had struggled then disappeared. It's like just because of a speck of nira, then damaged milk sebelanga. Things like that in the future we have to fix," said Sigit.

Previously, The Head of Professional and Security (Propam) Of The National Police Irjen Ferdy Sambo said the number of violations committed by police members increased in early 2021. In fact, the forms of violations are increasingly manifold.

"As we know together that in early 2021 and previous years there was an increase in the number of violations of police members in quality and quantity," said Irjen Sambo.

Based on the data, Sambo said there are hundreds of violations divided into 3 categories. Among them were 536 violations of discipline, 279 violations of kepp (Code of Professional Conduct of the Police), and 147 criminal violations.
