PAN Holds Blue Carpet If Jokowi Wants To Join After Being Fired By PDIP

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) is holding a blue carpet for the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo if he wants to join the party bearing the sunrise symbol.

This was said by the Secretary General of PAN Eko Indro Purnomo (Eko Patrio) in response to the news that Jokowi was dismissed as a PDIP cadre.

"Anyway, Pak Jokowi 1,000 percent if he wants to enter PAN is accepted. Welcome, there is a blue carpet for Mr. Jokowi, please," Eko told reporters, Thursday, December 5.

Not only Jokowi, said Eko, PAN is also open to his family who want to join the party chaired by Zulkifli Hasan.

"According to his family, everything is open to Pak Jokowi to enter," he said.

"I as secretary general gave the blue carpet to Mr. Jokowi," continued Eko.

The issue of membership cards (KTA), according to Eko, is an easy matter. PAN, he said, would prepare KTA if it registered as a PAN cadre.

"It's easy for KTA," said Eko.

Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that Jokowi was no longer part of the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol.

Not only Jokowi, Hasto said that the Vice President for the 2024-2029 Period, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and former Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution were no longer PDIP cadres.

"I reiterate that Mr. Jokowi and his family are no longer part of the PDI-P," said Hasto at a press conference at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Wednesday, December 4.
