Students In Bali Arrested By BNN After Message Of 5.5 Kg Marijuana For New Year's Party

DENPASAR - A student with the initials ADO (21) and his colleague with the initials RZ (29) were arrested by officers from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Bal Province for a case of 5.5 kilograms of marijuana.

From the hands of the North Sumatra-Bali network, officers confiscated evidence in the warehouse of one of the villas in the Ubud area, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

"We received information that there was a package that was suspected of being narcotics to Bali," said Head of the Bali BNNP Eradication, Kombes I Made Sinar Subawa, Thursday, December 5.

From there, BNN officers conducted an investigation and arrested two perpetrators.

"For ADO, he works as a student who ordered the narcotics. Meanwhile, RZ acts as a package taker," he added.

2.6 kilograms of marijuana was confiscated from the villa warehouse. After that, officers went to the deposit service company in Denpasar to confiscate other cannabis packages.

In the second location, 2.9 kilograms of marijuana was found. "The plan is that the marijuana will be sold around tourism areas in Bali during the momentum of the new year," he explained.

ADO and RZ are suspected of Article 114 Paragraph (2) or Article 111 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 132 Paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics.
