SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi-Palabuhanratu national road was covered by landslide material due to heavy rains that flushed in the last two days. Bantargadung District Disaster Management Officer (P2BK) revealed heavy rains that lasted from Tuesday to Wednesday, December 4 morning causing a five-meter high cliff on the edge of Jalan Raya Bojonggaling in Sukabumi to landslide.
"This landslide material closes the main route from Sukabumi to Palabuhanratu, and vice versa," explained Sihabudin in Sukabumi, Wednesday (4/12/2024) as reported by ANTARA.
Until 09.00 WIB, the flow of traffic from both directions on Jalan Sukabumi-Palabuhanratu, which was covered by landslide material, had not returned to normal.
A joint team consisting of the TNI, Polri, and the Sukabumi regional government have been deployed to clean up avalanche materials. Currently, new road access can be passed from one direction with an open-close system supervised by Sukabumi Police Traffic Unit personnel to unravel congestion from both directions.
