A Total Of 44 Trees Fall In Central Jakarta, Residents Can Claim If They Lose

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta City Parks and Forests Sub-dept. (Sudin Tamhut) detailed that 44 trees fell and splinters in Central Jakarta on Monday, December 2.

A total of 44 trees consist of 26 trees that experience splinters to cover traffic signs and traffic lights on roads.

Meanwhile, 18 other trees were recorded to have fallen due to strong winds during heavy rains. The tree fell and covered the road.

Meanwhile, for residents who were victims of falling trees in Jakarta, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can replace the maintenance financing (cover) through the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forest Service. However, the loss can be claimed if the fallen tree is an asset of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"(The victim who was injured as a result of being hit by a local government asset tree) could be covered," said Head of the Central Jakarta City Parks and Forests Sub-dept., Mila Ananda when confirmed, Tuesday, December 3.

Furthermore, Mila explained, fallen trees covered by insurance are trees planted in local government assets.

"Pohon aset Pemda, seperti pohon yang ditanam di jalan-jalan, di sisi kiri kanan jalan, median jalan dan di parkar," katanya.

Previously, as many as 23 trees in Central Jakarta experienced falling and splinter branches after heavy rains and strong winds in the Central Jakarta area and its surroundings on Monday, December 2.

"The data that entered temporarily contained 23 trees. The 23 trees were splinter, some fell," said Head of Central Jakarta City Parks and Forests (Tamhut) Sub-dept., Mila Ananda when confirmed, Monday, December 2.
