KPK Invites President Prabowo At The Peak Of The Hakordia Event Next Week

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will hold a commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) centered at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Monday and Tuesday, December 9-10. President Prabowo Subianto was invited to this activity.

"At the opportunity to open Hakordia 2024, we also invite the President of the Republic of Indonesia to be able to officially open activities," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, December 2.

This Hakordia activity will begin at 09.00 WIB. The anti-corruption commission hopes that Prabowo can attend in order to give a speech as the leader of the corruption eradication orchestration in the country.

"At the commemoration of Hakordia 2024, the President of the Republic of Indonesia as the head of state who leads the corruption eradication orchestra in Indonesia is expected to direct the focus of eradicating corruption," said Ghufron.

"As well as the momentum to strengthen corruption eradication institutions in Indonesia and increase synergies between state institutions, regional ministries, local governments, BUMN/BUMD, associations, the general public in efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption in Indonesia," he continued.

The 2024 Hakordia commemoration will also be filled with a number of activities. Among them are the launch of the 2024 National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK), law enforcement awards and improvements in governance, regional improvements to inspirational gratification reporting awards.

"We don't expect this symbol to be just symbolic with formality," said Ghufron.

Later there will also be discussion activities between the private sector and government agencies. "So how can we then in addition to the public sector, let's also rearrange so that it is in accordance with its goals and is not misused as a loophole to provide gratuities," he concluded.
