Jabodebek LRT Towards Harjamukti Strikes, Passengers Evacuated

PT KAI evacuated all passengers from a series of Jabodebek LRT trains that broke down on their way to Harjamukti, Depok, West Java, Sunday, and adjusted the travel schedule to ensure smooth travel.

According to ANTARA's observation at the location, the train was stopped for about 15-20 minutes.

The Jabodebek LRT Public Relations Manager Mahendro Trang Bawono in a statement received in Jakarta, Sunday at 15.43 WIB, stated that there had been a travel disruption on the Ciracas-Harjamukti road plot due to external obstacles to the Jabodebek LRT route.

As a result, said Mahendro, the train stopped and could not continue the journey. Then, he said, the Jabodebek LRT operational team moved quickly by lowering the rescue train, which arrived at the location at 16.10 WIB to evacuate passengers.

He mentioned that the evacuation process went smoothly and all passengers were successfully escorted to Harjamukti Station.

"As a further step, the Jabodebek LRT has adjusted the travel schedule. The Dukuh Atas BNI Harjamukti relationship has been adjusted to Dukuh Atas BNI Ciracas, while the Ciracas Harjamukti journey will be served on 1 train," he said.

His party also apologized for the incident, which occurred due to a disruption to the Jabodebek LRT's trip to the Dukuh Atas BNI Harjamukti connection.

He mentioned that this adjustment was made to maintain the smooth running and ensure the comfort of the passengers. He also appreciated the passengers for their cooperation and understanding during the evacuation process.
