Police Prepare 2,489 Personnel To Secure PA 212 Grand Reunion At Monas

A total of 2,489 joint personnel will be deployed by Polda Metro Jaya to secure the 212 Alumni Brotherhood Grand Reunion (PA) which will be held in the National Monument Area (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said that the thousands of personnel came from various task forces.

"The security force is 2,489 personnel to oversee the 212 Alumni Brotherhood Grand Reunion," said Ade Ary in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday, November 30.

Of the total personnel deployed, 1,937 of them are members of the Regional Task Force (Satgasda). In addition, there are 110 personnel from the Resort Task Force (Satgas Res), as well as 442 additional personnel from the Operations Under Control (BKO) troops consisting of members of the TNI and the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta.

"They are scattered around Monas," added Ade Ary, ensuring that personnel will be placed at strategic points to maintain the smooth running of events.

Polda Metro Jaya, together with Kodam Jaya and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, emphasized their readiness to ensure security and order during the event. The event is scheduled to start at 02.00 to 09.00 WIB on December 2, 2024.

"The security targets for the Central Jakarta Monas area are that all activities are expected to run safely, orderly, and smoothly," said Ade Ary.

Regarding traffic engineering, Ade said that vehicle flow arrangements would be carried out situationally. If the number of people present is large and the escalation increases, road closures around Monas will be enforced. However, if the number of participants is not significant, traffic will continue to run normally.

If the number of masses and escalation increases, road closures will be held. If the number of masses is not large, the traffic is normal as usual," explained Ade.

The police also appealed to all participants of the PA 212 Grand Reunion to participate in the event in an orderly manner and to continue to comply with the applicable regulations. "We urge participants to remain guided by the regulations according to existing legal rules," concluded Ade Ary. With careful security preparations, it is hoped that this event can run safely and conducively.
