Gerindra Concerning The Jakarta Pilkada: If It Can Be 2 Rounds, Alhamdulillah

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, stated that his party supports the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor number 01, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, who believes that the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada will take two rounds. This is based on the calculations of witnesses in the field that there are no Paslons that exceed 50 percent.

This was said by Habiburokhman in response to the results of the quick count of the Jakarta gubernatorial election which placed the champion losing to candidate pair number 03, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.

"For Jakarta, the situation still needs to wait until the calculation is completed in stages, the recapitulation is tiered. That's the rule in the law, because the difference is very thin. In our opinion, it is definitely two rounds, we are haqqul Yaqin two rounds," said Habiburokhman, Friday, November 29.

"Because we have very strong witnesses provided by the Democrats and PKS, yes, both of them confirmed, the witnesses, we also sent external witnesses, yes together with East Jakarta, accurate, in our opinion, so far, two rounds of confirmation," he continued.

Nevertheless, Habiburokhman invited the people of Jakarta to wait for the results announced by the Jakarta KPUD on December 16. Because according to him, Ridwan-Suswono's voice is also quite significant in the field.

"But we invite friends, we don't need to fight about this, just wait for the results of the tiered recapitulation. Mr. Ridwan Kamil has worked optimally, we are also working, I will go down at 70 points. Alhamdulillah, his voice is also quite significant, Mr. Ridwan Kamil," he said.

If later the KPUD states that the Jakarta Pilkada will take place in two rounds, Habiburokhman ensures that the Ridwan-Suswono coalition political parties will win the RIDO pair.

"If possible two rounds, thank God, and we will all go out in the remaining time until February 25," he said.

"So we are also getting ready for the campaign term for the second round, not the campaign, it means movement for the next round in DKI Jakarta," concluded the member of the DPR for the Jakarta electoral district.
