Prabowo: Nutritious Food Budget IDR 10,000 Per Child/Pregnant Mother Per Day

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto announced that the budget index for the free nutritious food program for children and pregnant women is set at IDR 10,000 per pregnant child/mother, per day.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo when delivering a press statement regarding the provisions of the minimum wage at the Presidential Office, Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Friday, November 29.

"If we detail this nutritious eating program, the minimum average is, or on average we want to give an index per child, per pregnant woman it is IDR 10,000 per day or more or less," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA.

The Head of State said the free nutritious eating program was included as an addition to the welfare of workers, because workers also have families and children. Prabowo stated that the welfare of workers is something very important and will continue to be fought for by the government.

Prabowo said the government wants to allocate a free nutritious food budget of IDR 15,000 per pregnant child per day, but the current budget condition is IDR 10,000.

"We calculate that the regions (Rp10,000) are quite quality and nutritious," explained the President.

From the budget set, one family could get an average budget allocation of IDR 30,000 per day, because in one family there are three to four children.

"If the average family of groups who are in a state say they are desil-desil under it, we estimate that the children average 3 to 4. This means that each family can receive a minimum of Rp. 30,000 per day. This can be Rp. 2.7 million for one month," said Prabowo.

Prabowo said that when added with social assistance and other social protection, including the Family Hope Program (PKH), and other assistance, the government's efforts to secure all levels of society, including the labor group, are already very maximal at this time.

"Of course we will fix it in the future," said Prabowo.

On that occasion Prabowo also announced that the average increase in the minimum wage in 2025 was set at 6.5 percent. This figure is based on government discussions with representatives of labor leaders.
