The East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim has raised the status of the brawlers who were arrested during a large-scale sweep of operations to the investigation level. A total of 18 perpetrators of brawls between residents of Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) versus Cipinang Jagal, in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.

"For the 18 people arrested, we have raised some from the investigation process to investigation," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Monday, November 25.

Even so, the Police Chief has not explained in detail the identities of the brawlers who were arrested during the sweep.

However, the police already knew the role of the arrested perpetrator.

"We use Article 358 of the Criminal Code, namely people who participate, in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 53 who try to fight and carry weapons and meet at the crime scene. We apply all articles," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police would take firm action against the perpetrators if they returned to the brawl after a peaceful declaration of brawl in the Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) area, Klender Village, East Jakarta.

"If the declaration that has been made is still violated by residents, we will make repressive actions," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Monday, November 25.

Kombes Nicolas explained that the perpetrators of the brawl could be charged with multiple articles according to their actions.
