DPRD Proposes Form Of MSME Regulations, Protect Traders From Threats To Be Evicted

JAKARTA - Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed a regional regulation (perda) for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Nova Harivan Paloh, assessed that the MSME regional regulation was needed as a legal umbrella for MSME actors.

According to him, the MSME regional regulation can ensure certainty of the placement of the fostered location (lockbin) and temporary location (loksem) for MSME actors. Thus, there is no longer any eviction of the place of business for traders.

"There must be a regional regulation on MSMEs that become legality so that when he trades at a temporary location it suddenly occurs to be evicted," Nova said in his statement, Monday, November 25.

Deputy Chairman of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wahyu Dewanto, assessed that the MSME regional regulation can fix one of the main problems faced by business actors in Jakarta, one of which is the availability of capital.

Because, according to him, many MSME actors have difficulty getting access to business credit because of inadequate guarantees or poor BI checking history.

"The problem that has been with training and others, one that has become a fundamental problem is capital," said Wahyu.

Continuing, Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wa Ode, emphasized that the regional regulation on MSMEs must be immediately discussed by the DPRD together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. Wa Ode hopes that the existence of the regional regulation can provide regulatory certainty for MSME actors to improve the economic level.

"I ask for a recommendation from Commission B to make an MSME Regional Regulation. Unfortunately, Loksem Lokbin, a community that has existed for twenty years, has suddenly been evicted," explained Wa Ode.
