Video Of Tattooed Father Beating His Son In Medan Goes Viral, Perpetrator Finally Arrested By Police

MEDAN - Police arrested a man who molested his son in Jalan Karya, Gang Sosro, Karang Berombak Village, West Medan District, Medan. The arrest was made after a video of a shirtless father with a tattoo went viral on social media.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Sumut Kombes Hadi Wahyudi when confirmed, confirmed the arrest. The arrest of the father who beat his son was made on Saturday, April 10.

"It was secured, last night," Kombes Hadi said Monday, April 12.

The man was arrested at his brother's house in Medan.

"The person concerned is secured in his brother's house but still in medan area. He had fled because he was not in his rented house," he said.

Hadi said the perpetrator was secured based on reports of his son being the victim. "I did not ask his father's name because he is still being asked for information with investigators. His son is reporting," he said.

"It is still under investigation, no suspect has been identified," Hadi said.

The Beginning of Events

Video footage of a father arguing with his son went viral on social media. The boy was also hit by his father.

From the video that circulated, it appears that two men had a fight. A woman filmed the incident. A man without a shirt is angry at his son who is wearing a sweater.

The man is seen carrying a sharp weapon and attempting to hit the boy in front of him.

"Don't pack it," the man says in the video.

"Later Brother first, I poke (stab) lah" said the shirtless man.

Furthermore, the man wearing the sweater said it did not matter that he was the victim of his father.

"Don't make your brother fight back," he said.

The man's comments angered the father. Next there is the action of pushing each other between the two.

"Fight you against you," said the hitting man.

When the action is heard a woman's voice tries to break up the incident. The video was allegedly uploaded to social media by a shirtless girl.

"I ask for help to anyone good people out there. To share this video. This video was taken on April 6, 2021, at 10:05 p.m.," the video posted on Instagram.

Pemosting explains the figure in the video is his father. At first he was the target of his father.

"My father tried to hit me with a long wood on the head. Then pointed a sharp, video-like weapon at my left neck, but was blocked by my sister," he wrote.
