JAKARTA - Government spokesman for the handling of the corona virus or COVID-19 Achmad Yurianto (Yuri) explained that there had been an additional 113 positive cases of the corona virus as of Thursday, April 2. Thus, the cumulative total reached 1,790 cases.

Based on data, out of 113 new positive cases of COVID-19, DKI Jakarta contributed 80 patients. Then, followed by West Java with the addition of 15 cases.

Furthermore, for cases of recovered patients, continued Yuri, there was also an addition of 9 people. Thus, the total number of patients recovered reached 112 people. Meanwhile, for death cases, there were 13 new cases recorded, totaling 170 people in total.

He explained that the handling of COVID-19 was the result of collaboration between various parties, including volunteers. With the increase in the number of medical personnel scattered in various areas, it has accelerated the collection of specimens from potentially infected people.

"Health workers in the area who have been willing to assist epidemiological investigations by carrying out tracing activities, tracing cases, and have succeeded in collecting more than 7,193 specimens," said Yuri at Graha BNPB, Jakarta, Thursday, April 2.
