Bribe Money To Bandung City DPRD Investigated By KPK Through The Chairman Of The Golkar Party DPD

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that there was bribes received by members of the Bandung City DPRD. There were seven witnesses who were questioned by investigators, one of whom was Edwin Sanjaya as Chairman of the DPD of the Golkar Party, Bandung City.

KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika said the seven witnesses were summoned on Friday, November 15. Apart from Edwin, those summoned were OA, TR, DN, WS, AW, SR, and R.

Meanwhile, from the information obtained, they are Oki Ariesyana, Rastiadi, and Alt Wahidin who are private parties; Tana Rusmana as entrepreneur; and Head of PPSMP Division Dani Nurahmat.

Then Wahid Subagja was also examined as a civil servant (PNS) or aide at the Bandung City Secretariat; and Salmiah Rambe who is a member of the Bandung City DPRD.

"The examination was carried out at the PUPR Competency Development Center Region IV Bandung," Tessa told reporters, Monday, November 18.

Tessa explained that these witnesses were present to fulfill the investigator's summons. "And explored related to his knowledge and role in giving money to members of the Bandung City DPRD," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Actually, investigators will examine another witness named Priyo Effendi as Commissioner of PT Cipta Usaha Cemerlang. However, he was absent from the investigator's summons.

"Witness Priyo did not attend without information," explained Tessa.

Previously reported, the KPK has detained five suspects in this case. The details are former Bandung Regional Secretary Ema Sumarna, and former Bandung DPRD member Riantono, Achmad Nugraha, Yudi Cahyadi, and Ferry Cahyadi Rismafury.

Ema is suspected of receiving gratuities from the Transportation Service and others from 2020 to 2024. The prize was intended to launch an additional budget for the discussion of the 2022 revised APBB at the Bandung City Transportation Service.

This case is a development of a hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared the former Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.
