Drunk on Mushrooms, Australian Man Enters House in Confusion, Startles Residents

DENPASAR - A foreign national (WNA) from Australia went viral on social media for entering a resident's rented house without a clear reason. This foreigner scared residents.

The Australian foreigner with the initials RI (40) claimed to be drunk on mushrooms. He then entered a resident's house on Tunjung Biru Street, Pemogan Village, South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, on Monday (11/18).

"At around 13.00 WITA, it was reported that a foreigner was confused and entered a resident's rented house," said Head of Public Relations of the Denpasar Police, Commissioner I Ketut Sukadi.

From witness statements, the foreigner walked confused and entered the resident's rented house. However, this foreigner was confirmed not to have caused trouble or committed a crime.

Residents then bathed the Australian foreigner so that he would regain consciousness.

"Then he was directed to be taken to the Kuta Police. After being cross-checked at the Kuta Police, and has been handed over to the Badung Satpol PP and he is suspected of being drunk and disturbing public order in the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Badung Satpol PP I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara said that the foreigner had been handed over to the Kuta Police, Bali. The plan is for this Australian citizen to be taken to the Prof. Ngoerah Central General Hospital (RSUP), Denpasar, for treatment.

"He is an Australian citizen and he did not bring any identification. He had difficulty remembering where he lived, he was in a condition like he was drunk until now he is still waiting to wake up and he admitted that he had consumed mushrooms, he is still confused. In the meantime, we will take him to (Prof. Ngoerah Hospital) for treatment," he said separately.
