JAKARTA - The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) reminds the public of the dangers of blue skincare etiquette, skin care products that contain hard medicinal ingredients and are given with a doctor's prescription as a concoction product.

Public Relations of BPOM Eka Rosmalasari said that blue skincare should be personal, specifically prepared according to the diagnosis of a dermatologist for the patient.

"Unfortunately, currently, sales of blue skincare are found that are not in accordance with applicable regulations, so it has the potential to damage the skin," said Eka in a statement received in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, November 18.

They found that the blue tiered skincare did not comply with these provisions containing hard medicinal ingredients but was given without a doctor's prescription or supervision or made as a mass concoction product and sold online.

"The health danger of using skincare is very serious and comparable to the hard drugs it contains, which can cause various side effects and health complications," he said.

He also mentioned a number of other things that BPOM found, such as cosmetics without distribution permit (TIE). According to him, TIE cosmetics are also risky for the health of its users because they cannot provide health insurance, benefits, and quality of their products.

"Produk yang sudah kedaluwarsa juga tidak lagi dapat dijamin keamanan dan kualitasnya, sehingga penggunaannya sangat berisiko.
