Supreme Court Judge Cassation Ronald Tannur Doesn't Violate Code Of Ethics

JAKARTA - The Supreme Court (MA) stated that it did not find any violation of the code of ethics of the three Supreme Court judges who handled the cassation of the convict Gregorius Ronald Tannur in the murder case of Dini Sera Afriyanti.

The conclusion is based on the results of an in-depth investigation conducted by the examination team from November 4 to November 12, 2024.

"From the examination, no violation of the KEPPH (Ethical Code and Code of Conduct of Judges) was found by the cassation panel in case number 1466/K-Pid/2024 so that the case was declared closed," said the spokesman for the Supreme Court, Yanto, to reporters, Monday, November 18.

Based on the results of the examination, there were several facts that were found, one of which was regarding the meeting of Supreme Court Justice Soesilo with Zarof Ricar.

The two of them had indeed met at the inauguration of the honoris causa professor which took place at the Makassar State University on September 27.

"The meeting took place briefly at the inauguration of the honorary causa professor at the University of UNM Makassar on September 27, 2024, both of which were invited guests at the event," he said.

At the meeting, Zarof Ricar was said to have indeed offended Ronald Tannur's cassation. However, Supreme Court Justice Soesilo did not respond.

"ZR had touched on the Ronald Tannur case but Judge Agung S did not respond to it," said Yanto.

Meanwhile, two other Supreme Court judges, Ainal Mardhiah and Sutarjo, are said to have never met the former Supreme Court official. In fact, they don't even know the figure of Zarof Ricar.

"The Supreme Court Justices A and ST are not known to ZR and have never met ZR," said Yanto.
