JAKARTA - The perpetrator who threw stones at the Transjakarta bus glass which had gone viral on social media apologized for his actions. He apologized in a video recorded at the Jagakarsa Police, South Jakarta.

"With this, I apologize to Transjakarta for the incident of throwing stones at Transjakarta buses that I have done and I also apologize to the public for what I did. I have regretted it. I hope this will be an example for other communities not to be imitated," said the perpetrator with the initials HE, quoted on Monday, November 18.

Head of the Public Relations Department and CSR Transjakarta Ayu Wardhani said that his party chose to resolve the case of throwing stones at the bus glass amicably.

"Currently it has been resolved amicably. Hopefully it will be a lesson for everyone, so as not to do the same thing and harm public services," Ayu told reporters.

Ayu said, from this case, Transjakarta suffered a loss of at least Rp. 13 million for broken glass and had to be replaced.

"But of course there are other losses, the TJ 672 bus has not returned to service customers since last Wednesday's incident until today," he said.

In the show, a man riding his motorbike stopped in front of a Transjakarta bus that was passing slowly with a busy traffic condition. The man got off his motorbike, grabbed a rock, then threw it into the front glass of the bus.

PT Transjakarta reported the case of throwing stones at the front glass of the bus to the police. The transportation management company owned by the DKI Provincial Government did not remain silent in responding to the anarchist action.

On Friday, November 15, the perpetrator was arrested. Jagakarsa police chief, AKP Iwan Gunawan explained, before the perpetrator and the Transjakarta bus driver had an argument on the road. The perpetrator felt he was grabbed by the bus while driving on a motorbike.
