Accident In Cipularang, Korlantas Reveals The Cause Of Layered

JAKARTA - The accident that occurred at KM 92 Tol Cipularang was caused by a combination of various related factors. This was conveyed by the Head of Operations Section (Kabagops) of Korlantas Polri Kombes Pol. Aries Syahbudin.

Kombes Pol. Aries said, based on the results of the inspection of the truck involved, the accident occurred on a long downhill route with various influencing factors, including humans, vehicles, road conditions, and the surrounding environment.

This accident is a combination of various factors. Drivers may not fully understand the contours of roads, vehicles are found to have violated, road conditions are slippery due to rain, as well as road repairs," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, November 16.

As for now, he said, the Korlantas Polri together with the West Java Regional Police have conducted a crime scene (TKP) by using sophisticated equipment to analyze the incident.

In addition, the joint team has also photographed the scene of the incident and will create animations to describe in detail how the accident occurred.

Kombes Pol. Aries said the move was taken to deepen accident analysis and improve traffic safety in the future.

He also appealed to drivers who passed the route to be more careful, especially at the accident point which is on a long descent road.

"We urge drivers to use engine brakes or low teeth when crossing the descent roads. The braking function carried out by the engine, not by brake service, will be more effective and reduce the risk of overheating on the brakes which can reduce the braking function itself," he said.

It is known that the successive accident between a truck and 17 minibuses occurred on Monday (11/11) afternoon. Jasa Marga noted that one person died and dozens more were injured.
