Ahead Of The 2024 Pilkada, Bawaslu Urges Regions To Be Alert In Making Decisions

Chairman of the Indonesian Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja warned the regional Bawaslu ranks to be careful in making decisions at each stage of the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada which is currently underway.

"Therefore, if it is related to the sanction of cancellation, please friends, it is very detailed and careful in determining articles, follow-up and others," said Bagja, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, November 16.

He also reminded not to let it happen when in the State Administrative Court (PTUN) or in court things that were decided were not proven.

According to him, election organizers must jointly look back at the structure and pattern of relations in their respective institutions.

"We have reminded that the names Bawaslu and KPU are vertical institutions. Every thing related to important decisions such as canceling or relating to the right to vote, whether it is the right to vote or be elected, must then be conveyed to us at the central level. This is what we think should not be a problem in the future. then we do not know, "he said.

In addition, Bagja also hopes that the KPU or Bawaslu will coordinate well, so that, if there are improvement suggestions given by Bawaslu, they can be followed up or discussed together first.

9. On September 25, November 23, 2024: Campaign implementation
