Stranas PK Will Propose Money Changer Rules Have An Application To Control Money Exchange

JAKARTA - The Daily Coordinator of the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK) Pahala Nainggolan said that his party would apply for a money changer using a population identification number (NIK) based application. The goal is that people who exchange money can be detected to prevent fraudulent practices.

"This is Stranas' plan, all foreign exchanges, that money changer wants to be forced so that he has an application so that those who exchange money must put the NIK," Pahala said as quoted on Friday, November 15.

Pahala said that currently people who want to exchange money must include their identity cards (KTP).

"But we don't know what it's been done," said the Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring of the KPK.

"Well, we (Stranas PK, ed) want him (can do it, red) to check. (For example, red) who bought gold Antam whose bullion, plus the agents made the application, record who bought it," continued Pahala.

From there, it is hoped that people who exchange money or buy gold can be detected. This method is also expected to make it easier for the Directorate General of Taxes to carry out their duties.

"That's the point of NIK and NPWP being merged, we are very happy. Or people (money, red) one million US dollars, there is a NIK but there is no NPWP (can, ed) be chased by people. So it is useful for acceptance," concluded Pahala.
