CCTV Salemba Rutan Not Active, Central Jakarta Class I Karutan Examined In The Middle Of Enjoying Leave

JAKARTA - Head of the Class I Detention Center of Central Jakarta, Agung Nurbani, is still undergoing examination following the escape of 7 prisoners and inmates of the Salemba Detention Center on Tuesday, November 12. A surprising new fact is that CCTV at the Salemba Rutan is not active.

"Karutan is being investigated by the prison and then investigated," said Chairman of Commission XIII DPR RI Willy Aditya to reporters at the Salemba Rutan, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.

Willy said that his party received reports that several CCTVs were inactive, especially those behind the location of the withdrawal (7 prisoners escaped).

"So the jump, then the blind spot," he said.

The chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR RI will also coordinate with the police and BNN by forming a correctional committee.

"This is a point, this is just a trigger. This is the starting point. We ask for CCTV for a week and when they start being in the same cell, this is the 7 people. But this is the material we will explore in the panja," he explained.

Even according to information, Karutan Salemba also had time to apply for leave before the incident occurred.

"We will ask for reasons for his leave, when to apply for his leave, this is deepening material. We will form a panja," he said.

It should be noted that one of the 7 prisoners and inmates who escaped from the Salemba Rutan was a drug kingpin named Murtala Ilyas.

Murtala Ilyas is a recidivist in a drug trafficking case arrested by the West Jakarta Metro Police. In that case, 110 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated.

Based on the investigation, Murtala received methamphetamine from Malaysia. Then, smuggled into Aceh through a small port. Murtala and her network brought the methamphetamine to Jakarta for distribution.
