In NTT, The Screams Of Citizens Pray For Jokowi Three Periods Echoed

JAKARTA - The arrival of President Joko Widodo in Amakaka Village, Ile Ape District, Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara was greeted with joy by residents. They were very happy with Jokowi's arrival.

"Thank you, Mr. Jokowi", said a resident shouting before Jokowi gave a speech in NTT, Friday, April 9.

Jokowi said that he visited this place because Amakaka Village is a location affected by a severe disaster caused by tropical cyclone Seroja.

According to Jokowi, he has also spoken with NTT Governor Victor Laiskodat and the local Regent to maximize disaster management. In fact, he promised to relocate people's homes.

"Later with the approval of the community, this location will be relocated, will be relocated, and will be built as soon as possible", Jokowi said.

Jokowi's statement was again warmly welcomed by the citizens who attended. They are very happy with the steps taken by President Jokowi. Even one of the citizens briefly rejected the President's speech.

On behalf of his personal and government, Jokowi expressed his deep condolences for the natural disaster that claimed hundreds of lives.

Known, Jokowi and his limited group arrived in Sikka Regency around 09.38 WITA. Afterward, Jokowi immediately moved to visit the area in Ile Ape Subdistrict by using a Super Puma TNI AU helicopter to Wonopito Airport, Lembata Regency, to then travel by land to the location.

Jokowi was also accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, BNPB Chief Doni Monardo, Basarnas Chief Henri Alfiandi, NTT Governor Viktor Laiskodat, and Lembata Regent Eliaser Yentji Sunur.
