Lemhanas Governor Affirms LSSN Something Routine

JAKARTA - The Governor of Lemhanas, Ace Hasan Syadzily, admitted that he obeyed President Prabowo Subianto's orders to reduce his cabinet visits abroad.

However, Ace said Lemhanas would routinely conduct Study Strategic Abroad to increase insight for prospective national leaders.

This was conveyed by Ace in response to the request for a budget for his institution of Rp99 billion to the DPR. However, the request was deemed not in accordance with President Prabowo's direction.

"Yes, of course we respect what we are obeying what the president said, that the matter of SSLN or Study Strategic Foreign Affairs for prospective national leaders must of course be based on an approach that can be used as a reference," said Ace at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 13.

Ace stated that Lemhanas would certainly prioritize the most urgent needs. But on the one hand, Lemhanas also received visits from several countries, especially those that have been partnering with Lemhanas.

"Therefore, of course this study or the proposal (budget addition) is adjusted to the needs expected, of course it can increase insight and knowledge for our national leadership candidates," said Ace.

"So far, Lemhanas has always been doing the Study Strategic Foreign Affairs, long before he always held SSLN education or strategic studies abroad. So this is something that is routine and usually done by Lemhanas," he concluded.
