Semarang Police have named a restaurant employee in Semarang City, Central Java, with the initials KDK (33, as a suspect in the alleged pornography case after recording his co-workers in the bathroom or toilet.

"There were four female co-workers who were recorded by cell phone while in the bathroom," said Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 11.

Based on the report, his party has detained the suspect and confiscated his cell phone containing the recording.

The police chief confirmed that the perpetrators only recorded the restaurant employees and not visitors.

"From the suspect's confession, the action has been carried out since 2022," he said.

The perpetrator, who has worked in a restaurant located on Jalan Rinjani, Semarang City, only recorded certain female employees.

The suspect has carried out this action more than 10 times.

"From the confession of the perpetrator, it was fun, for a private collection," he said.

The suspect was charged with Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning pornography or Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning sexual violence.
