Deputy Minister Of Home Affairs: Central Java Has State Civil Apparatus Neutrality Issues Related To Regional Head Elections

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto said Central Java is one of the areas that has the dynamics of the neutrality of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the 2024 Pilkada.

This, said Bima Arya, was obtained based on a field review conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs while traveling to every province in the country together with the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).

"Yesterday, traveling to Central Java and East Java, there were indeed two regions that had their own dynamics based on complaints related to the neutrality of ASN, including the village head," said Bima Arya Sugiarto in a hearing (RDP) with Commission II of the DPR reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 11.

Therefore, Bima Arya did not deny that the findings of the violation of the ASN neutrality needed attention by Commission II of the DPR.

"This is also what I think is getting attention from colleagues in Commission II," he said.

Bima Arya emphasized that the Ministry of Home Affairs can impose legal sanctions related to violations of ASN neutrality within the regional government.

"The mechanism is clear, Bawaslu follows up, then the Ministry of Home Affairs will process according to the authority," he said.

"The level of sanctions can be applied starting from warnings of warnings, temporary dismissals, to permanent dismissals if they meet the evidence," continued Bima Arya.

Commission II of the DPR has begun to summon officials (pj.) governors, regents, and mayors of all regions in the country in a marathon in order to increase the readiness for the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada, as well as the implementation of regional government by regional head officials.

The RDP on Monday morning began by summoning regional head officials in four provinces of Indonesia, namely the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi, Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, and Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar.

On Monday afternoon, the DPR Commission II RDP was attended by the Acting Governor of Central Java as well as the Acting Regent and Acting Mayor throughout the Province of Central Java.
